How far from the wall a ceiling rail should be installed depends on several factors, such as protruding window sills, radiators or other obstacles, as well as the curtain's hanging style and how deep you want the pleats or waves to be.

Can you mount a curtain track on the wall?
Yes, most of our curtain tracks can be wall-mounted with wall fittings.
