Measure the distance from the floor to the point where the blind will be installed. This measurement is used to adjust the length of the bead chain or cord so that it complies with child safety requirements. The chain or cord must end at least 150 cm above the floor. Please note: this is the installation height, not the height of the blind. If you select “Unknown”, the product will be supplied with a standard chain or cord drop of 100 cm.

Product description

Roman blind in a soft sand tone with Hawick blackout fabric. Custom-made to your specified dimensions for a perfect fit in the window. The fabric is flame retardant according to DIN 4102-1 for increased fire safety. Delivered complete for mounting on a wall, ceiling, or window recess. Smoothly operated with a ball chain for easy control of light.

How to measure

Recess mounting

For recess mounting, measure the recess in at least 3 places (top, middle, and bottom). Then, deduct 5 millimeters from the smallest measurement. The reason for this is partly to ensure the Roman blind fits into the recess, and partly to prevent the fabric from touching the walls and wearing out.

Wall mounting

If you are mounting on the wall outside the window, you can either choose to measure so that the Roman blind lines up with the window frames or let the Roman blind extend a little way onto the wall.

Installation height
Installation height is the distance from the floor up to the point where the blind is mounted. On made-to-measure blinds with a cord or beaded chain, the installation height is used to adjust the length of the operation so that it ends up at a child-safe distance (150 cm above the floor).
